“I am not sure that there is anything that has been more impactful than jazz on my work. It is an art form that expresses non-duality like no other I have experienced. Jazz offers the idea that the structure of a song or melody can be played inside and out. You can have the structure fall apart and then suddenly come back and find it again. I’m interested in exploring this in paint.”
